Tasty Thursday- Tahitian Vanilla Protein Shake
It's Tasty Thursday and today I'm sharing with you the perfect post workout shake. It's super simple and packed with all sorts of good things to help your body recover and replenish after a beast mode sweat session. I call it Tahitian Vanilla because it has a hint of coconut in it and the taste reminds me of being on an exotic island like Tahiti. Now, if only the weather would warm-up so I could lounge on my patio and soak in some rays and really get that island escape feel.
So what's in this tasty shake and how do you make it? Check it out-
Ingredients:
1 packet of Labrada brand Lean Body Her in Vanilla Ice Cream
1 cup of Blue Diamond Almond/Coconut Blend Milk
3 ice cubes
cinnamon
1 Tablespoon Chia Seeds from Trader Joe's
Put all the above ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth, pour into a tall glass and there you have a super fabulous post workout meal. Not only does this shake taste great, but it contains naturally powerful ingredients that help you. For example Chia seeds are a great source of Omega-3 fatty acids (good fats) and dietary fiber. The Omega-3's can help you to lose more weight and fiber assists in the digestion process. And cinnamon has been shown to have a multitude of health benefits ranging from lowering your (bad) cholesterol LDL to stabilizing blood sugars. Cinnamon has also been proven to aid in the treatments in some types of Diabetes and cancers.

*Want to make a lower calorie version of this? Then use water in place of the Almond/Coconut Milk to knock off 60 calories.
