FAST FRIDAY- Tabata Finisher

FAST FRIDAY IS HERE!

Congrats- you made it! The week is just about over and it's 5 o'clock somewhere right? Let's face it, we all want to maximize our time and get the most out of what we do. So in the spirit of speed, I'm dedicating our first FAST FRIDAY tidbit to TABATA.

Short, sweet and sweaty. Notice, I didn't say simple or easy. Because if done right, it's anything but. You want to amp up a workout and your metabolism? Then add a Tabata round  to the end of your next workout - and then go take a nap.      :)

Seriously though, try this two times next week and see how it feels. It only takes 4 minutes! Yep I said 4 MINUTES!!  Now that's FAST. Anybody can fit in 4 minutes.

What's Tabata? Well it's really any movement done at a high intensity for 20 seconds at a time, then you completely stop moving for 10 seconds. And you repeat that 20/10 interval a total of 8 times.  Give it a whirl.

Treadmill or Outdoor Tabata Sprints:
20 seconds sprinting as fast as you can
10 seconds stop and do nothing! (jump off to the sides of the treadmill and straddle and wait)
Repeat the above a total of 8 times.
